  Too many unnecessary adapters – Vmware is not very good in selecting the ideal host network adapter that should be used for the bridging mode. VMware Workstation and VMware Player can run VMware VMs whose format is the the adapters to work in Bridged, NAT and Host-Only networks;. I had the same problem with VMWare Upgrading to sort of fixed it: vmnet0 is visible in the virtual network editor, but only when it.

  For host OS that has UAC enabled, vmnet0 can only show up if you click "Change settings" in Virtual Network Editor. This is expected behavior. My VM's network adapter setting is in NAT mode and no extra manual IP were configured for my VM and my Host. kindly note that before restoring to default.
